Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria bave trek from Zariya to Abuja (about 285km) to demand for the immediate and unconditional release of the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) and other detained members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria that have been in detention illegally by the Nigerian Government after the Nigerian Army brutally brutally killed 1000+ members of the movement and demolition of properties belonging to the movement in December 2015.
The peaceful trekkers reached the National Human Right Commission headquarters in Abuja which is the final destination of the peaceful trekking on Tuesday 9th August 2016 in the afternoon and demand for the immediate release of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) for an urgent medical attention and also demand for justice over the Zaria Massacre.
The trekkers also condemn the silence of the world on this oppression, they further said a positive action most be taken by the Human Right commission on Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky's health condition if actually human right is in existence, because a person's life can only be rescued when he is alive not after his death.
