Special prayer session for Kano Arbaeen Trek Martyrs held today in Kano

Special prayer session was held in Kano on Friday the 23rd of Dec 2016 at Fagge Juma'at Mosque for the Soul of Martyrs killed by Nigerian Police in Kano while conducting peaceful Arbaeen symbolic trek. Another session was held at Kano Markaz on Saturday the 24th. Present at the prayer sessions were the injured (the living martyrs), parents and relatives of the martyrs and the general public. Parents of the deceased spoke on their sons and daughters whom they described as persons of upright manner. At the end of the session on Friday, there was a visit to the graveyard of the martyrs where another prayer session was held. Sheikh Sanusi Abdulkadir led the prayer sessions while thanking the participants. It could be recalled that only eight out of a several martyrs received proper funeral and burial while the rest are still with police. Though, few days later after police crime, a mass grave of over 30 people were located at the outskirt of Kano city and believed to be buried by the Police.
