Sheikh Zakzaky: Prisoner of Conscience at 66

Muslim world over rejoice with humanity the birthday of Sahibul Zaman, Imam Mahdi (AF) who was born 15th Sha’aban. As part of the birthday celebration activities the Islamic Movement in Nigeria marked the day which coincide with Friday 12th May, 2017 with a protest march in various Nigerian cities like Zaria, Kaduna, Illela, Kano etc calling for the unconditional release of Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky who since December 14th, 2015 have been held by Nigerian security agency despite a Federal High court order of his unconditional release. Thousands in Kano city after the Friday prayers in Fagge Jumma’at Mosque marched through the commercial France road and ended at KRODA, Murtala Muhammad way carrying banners and placards calling for the release of Shaikh Zakzaky (H). Mal Sunusi AbdulKadir Koki extended congratulations for seeing another birthday of Imam Mahdi (AF) which also is the 66 birthday of Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) and also called for the unconditional release Shaikh Zakzaky (H) who has been illegally detained. He reiterated that IMN has been following all legal steps in seeing Shaikh Zakzaky (H) is released and will not relent in rejecting all forms of oppression and tyranny. Shaikh Zakzaky has turned 66 years old on this very blissful 15th Sha’aban 1438 and is in need of medication by a specialist doctor which the Nigerian government has denied despite the fact its president has left the country to London for medication from a specialist.
