Free Zakzaky peaceful protest held in Yabo, Sokoto State, Nigeria

Hundreds of brothers and sisters across Yabo local government and the neighbouring towns of Sanyinna and Gamgam yesterday staged a FreeZakzaky protest after Juma'at prayers. Protesters held placards and posters with various inscriptions calling on the federal government of Nigeria to immediately #FreeZakzaky, the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria who was held without any charges since December 2015.  Recent reports emanating from where our leader is kept in custody suggest that he is fast losing his sight, and if he is not given the urgent and necessary medical attention he deserves in a competent medical facility, he might go blind anytime.

Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria have staged on today Friday, February 17 2017, peaceful protest in Bauchi State calling on the Acting President Prof Yemi Osinbajo to obey court order and release their leader Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and his wife Malama Zenatudden Ibraheem. 

The protest kick-off at Ajiya Adamu juma'at Mosque , passed through Tashan Babiye Road, passed Wunti Gate, forward to Emir's Palace and ended at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Grave in Bauchi.

The protest kick-off at Fudiyya Ilelah, passed through Gwarko Hospital, passed Sokoto Road, forward Hasiha Hospital and ended at Juma’at Mosques Bakin Sanke in Ilelah Sokoto state.
