A court in Saudi Arabia has sentenced distinguished Shi'a cleric Ayatollah Sheikh Hussein al-Radhi to 13 years in prison as the Riyadh regime presses ahead with its heavy-handed crackdown on members of the religious community.
The Specialized Criminal Court in Riyadh passed the ruling on the 66-year-old clergyman on Thursday, Arabic-language and independent Yemenat news website reported.
Iranian pilgrims intending to visit Iraq for Arbaeen can start applying for visa within the next couple of days, an official said.
The registration of visa applicants planning to visit Iraq for Arbaeen will begin by the end of the current Iranian month, which falls on August 22, Mohsen Nezafati, an official at Iran's Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization told Tasnim.
He also noted that all Iranian pilgrims will have to submit an application through a designated website.
