Night Session of the Academic and sisters Fora Conference : Sheikh Zakzaky delivered a speech
The night session of the ongoing sisters and Academic Fora conference held 31st August 2013, at about 9:00 pm, at the well known Katsina Motel.
The event begins with an opening prayer by Malam Yaqoub Yahya Katsina and Qur’anic recitation by Malama Maryam Sheleng.
While delivering his lecture, the leader of the Islamic movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Zakzaky (H) spoke on the genesis of the Fora (Academic and Sisters Fora) and the essence of the organized joined programme.
He explained the development achieved by the Islamic Movement in general, where he talks about the difference between achievements and changes. Since from the beginning this movement is based on bringing back the real teachings of religion into practice, not mere preaching.
Furthermore, he stated that, if we continue to keep quite on the condition we found ourselves in this country (Nigeria) one day we will be denied the right to practice our religion. Some people believed that the true religion can never be revived; they believe that the true religion of Islam was in power when people were illiterate, not now that people are educated and wise.
The revered leader also, caution those with the ideology that Islam will never dominate this nation, he said; nothing will stop Islam from ruling, but we should not expect Angels or people from other part of the world to that for us, instead it is our right to stand up and fight for it.
The night session was ended, after a closing prayer.
