MEMBERS OF THE IMN REJOICE WITH THE CHRISTIANS IN JOS AS THEY CELEBRATE NEW YEAR 2017

Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) paid a courtesy visit to the Assemblies of God Church Jos branch to rejoice with the Christians as they celebrate New year 2017. They were warmly received and welcomed by Rev. Yakubu Pam Chairman of the Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN) northern states of Nigeria.
In his welcoming address, the revered religious leader described the visit as one of the most important visit in the state and one of its kind, as the state has been plague with series of religious violence for decades.
He expressed his appreciation for the visit and recommended the honorable effort of the members, he urged the IMN members to continue with the visit and promised mutual relationship with Muslims that will build a lasting peace in the state as IMN laid the foundation today.
The spokesman of the visitors Alh Nura Waziri said the purpose of the visit is for mutual understanding among inter-faiths in the state. He also described how the Holy Prophet sheltered and allowed Christians to worship in his Holy Mosque. “To others this is new but to the IMN members is not something new, we invite Christians to our programs, our revered Leader his Eminence Sayyid Ibrahim Zakzaky h. taught us that we are all the same in creation, and one must respect others beliefs“.
