Efforts of the Nigerian Government to withdrive the peaceful #FreeSheikhZakzaky Protest in Abuja today have failed woefully

Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) have staged a peaceful protest in Abuja on Thursday 22nd September 2016 to demand for the immediate and unconditional unconditional release of the leader of the movement Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H), his wife and other detained members of the movement who have been detained illegally since December 2015. Several attempts have been made by the Nigerian Government to make the peaceful protest unsuccessful through its security operatives. The Nigerian Army have arrested some of the members of the movement on their way to Abuja in different places and release them few hours before the start of the protest which hinders them from attending the peaceful protest. The Nigerian Police Force have also arrested 5 members of the movement at the entrance Abuja and took them to an unknown place. Another troops of the Nigerian Police fired teargas on the peaceful members of the movement who have staged the protest and tried to repelled the peaceful protest but the protest successfully reached its desired destination. The peaceful protest ends with a closing prayer and a press briefing.
