Commemoration Of The Birth Of Sayyida Zahra(As) In Abuja

The Sisters Forum in collaboration with the Resource Forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria celebrates the birthday of Sayyida Zahra (AS). This was organised in the Main Hall of Abuja National Mosque on Saturday 24th Jumadah Akhir, 1434 AH which was equivalent to 24th May 2013. Malama Zeenatuddeen Ibraheem was the guest lecturer at the occasion.
The programme commenced at about 10:00 am by opening prayer and welcome address delivered by one of the sisters. Beautiful presentation by some students from Fudiyyah School was made before the commencement of the lecture.
Despite the fact that the occasion is on the celebration of the birthday of Sayyida Fatima (AS), nevertheless the lecture revolved mainly on the actual message brought by the father of Zahra (A.S.) – i.e. prophet Muhammad (SAWA) - which is contained in the Kalimatusshahadah. In her speech, she stated that the prophet (SAWA) brought the message of Islam and designated his successors as custodian to it.  People will never go astray so long as they firmly hold them.  This is a prophetic will (wasiyyah). However, the people rejected the Wasiyyah and persecuted his family and their followers. This could not stop the movement till date.
When she turns to the Islamic Movement in Nigeria she stated that to have an excuse before Allah (SWA) on the day of judgement is part of the aims of the Movement.  Whosoever perceives any injustice (going on amidst of his people) but decide not to stop it, Allah (SWA) will definitely join him with them in one place for severe punishment.
She finally called on people to join the movement and give their quarter of contribution according to their means and abilities towards the progress of the movement.  She added that the enemies of Islam and Islamic Movement plan to attack and eliminate the movement and in Nigeria within six months. Presently more than two months have passed. They plan against Sayyid and his followers while Almighty Allah plans and Allah is the best planner. In this situation, it has become necessary for brothers and sisters to prepare for whatsoever they can do for the protection and progress of the movement. For success is from Allah and it will definitely come. If you help for the sake and course of Allah, He will make you successful and victorious. This is a divine promise, for victory and success come from Him. She lamented.  According to her, success and victory does not necessarily mean physical defeat of the enemies. The main victory in relation to brothers and sisters is to remain in the movement of prophets and messengers of Allah, the movement of prophet Muhammad (SAWA) and the main infallible Imams which is the trend of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the leadership of sayyid Zakzaky (H).
In an interview with some pressmen after the lecture she disclosed the reason why Sayyida Fatima is tagged as the leader of women in this world and paradise in the hereafter. She stated that it is a divine selection. Almighty Allah has chosen her for this position before the creation of Adam. She supported her answer with authentic narrations the books of Hadiths.  When she was asked about what contemporary women can learn from the life of Sayyida Fatima, she said that it is fighting against injustice and tyranny. As for the claim of some Westerners that Islam deprives women their fundamental human rights, she vehemently rejected it. Some Muslims may tend to violate the provisions of Shari’ah. This does not mean that Islam is against the rights of women. Islam is different from Muslim.  Consequently, Islam is not to be blamed. In fact there is no religion or system that guarantees the rights of women as Islam did, she explained
