Academic Forum Maulud 2014/1435

On 27th of February 2014. The Academic Forum of the Islamic Movement, Kogi state chapter, organized one day Maulud Lecture Theme: "Prophet Muhammad(SAWA): the symbol of Justice, Peace and Unity" at the Theatre  Hall of Kogi state university.

 Lectures by invited speakers were delivered on different topics, Quranic recitation was also observed and other events as well. Pictures of the programme are shown below

'Hezbollah to respond to Israeli attack'

The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has confirmed that Israel targeted one of its bases in a recent airstrike, vowing to retaliate against the attack. Hezbollah on Wednesday condemned the act of violence, saying it would respond to the Israeli airstrike near the village of Janta, which hit a base on the Lebanon-Syria border on February 24. The Lebanese group said Tel Aviv had violated its country’s sovereignty and that the group would retaliate at the appropriate time and place.

Ahlul-Duthur of the Islamic movement in Nigeria under the leadership of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky (H) have on Sunday 23rd Rabius-thani,1435 (23/2/2014) organised the maulud of the holy Prophet(S) and Imam Hasan Askari (A.S) held at Murtala Muhammad Library Hall in the city of Kano. Malam Muhammad Mahmoud Turi spoke at the event.

Iran offers Lebanon help to fight terror

The Iranian ambassador to Beirut says the Islamic Republic is prepared to offer its experiences to Lebanon to assist the Arab country in its fight against terrorism. Following a meeting with Lebanon’s new Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil in Beirut on Monday, Ghazanfar Roknabadi said Iran enjoys “extensive experience” in countering terrorism and is ready to lend a hand to Lebanon in this regard.

Iran to send aid relief to displaced CAR Muslims: Official

The Islamic Republic of Iran will soon send shipments of humanitarian aid to the Muslim people displaced in the Central African Republic (CAR). The announcement was made by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, in an exclusive interview with IRNA. The CAR has been facing a deadly crisis since December last year, when Christian militia launched coordinated attacks against the mostly Muslim members of the Seleka group.

Keep Iran missiles out of talks: Russia

Russia says the nuclear talks between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany should not include the Islamic Republic’s missile program. “The Russian side considers that a comprehensive agreement must concern only and exclusively the matters regarding the restoration of trust in a purely peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program, which signifies preoccupation with nuclear affairs and nuclear aspects of all these things,” Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Thursday.

Plan to Attack Sheikh Zakzaky's convoy; Islamic Scholars Caution Government

Following the recent plan to attack the convoy of the revered Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, Islamic scholars have warned the government of the dire consequences if the attempt is put to action. It would be recalled that on Saturday 1st February, 2014, a Zaria based Islamic preacher Auwal Albani was killed along Gaskiya Area in Zaria on his way from a lecture. A week later Nigerian Military was deployed to Gyallesu Area, where Sheikh Zakzaky resides.

Hizbullah Marks Martyrs Leaders Anniversary, vows to crush Takfiri threat

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah made a televised speech Sunday on the Martyr Leaders' anniversary and tackled several local and regional developments, starting with the ongoing Israeli threats and plots. His eminence divided his speech into three parts, the first was about the Israeli enemy and the ongoing threat it poses on Lebanon, second was about Hezbollah's confrontations at the current phase, and third was about the resistance's challenges on several aspects.

Libya Marks 3rd Anniversary of Revolution

Libyans have marked the third anniversary of the start of a revolution that toppled long-time dictator Muammar Gaddafi.

Although no official ceremonies were organized, people across the North African country poured into streets on Monday to celebrate the turning point in their history.

In the capital Tripoli, crowds of people gathered in Martyrs Square, cheering and waving revolutionary flags.

Security was tight as police patrolled the area in and around the square.

Russia dismisses US sanctions against Iran

Russia has dismissed the expansion of US “unilateral and illegitimate” sanctions against Iran, Press TV reports.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told reporters at the Iranian Embassy in Moscow on Monday that the sanctions have no legal ground and are baseless.

“US unilateral sections are illegitimate and have no legal basis,” Ryabkov said.

Scholars in Africa Warn of Genocide in Bangui

A leading Muslim organization has vigorously condemned the genocide of Muslims in Central African Republic, urging the world community to send neutral troops to stop this genocide immediately, and work to achieve security for all citizens. “The crisis in CAR has turned into genocide of Muslim citizens of CAR before the world in an accident that reminds of the genocide of Tutsi in the Republic of Rwanda which has disgraced humanity till today,” the Union of African Scholars said in a statement issued on Saturday, February 15, and obtained by OnIslam.net.

Saudi Arabia behind terrorism in Mideast: Nasrallah

Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah says Saudi Arabia is arming and funding Takfiri terrorist groups in the Middle East.

The leader of the Lebanese resistance movement made the remarks late on Sunday in a televised speech given during a ceremony in southern Beirut to commemorate the martyrdom of resistance commanders.

Nasrallah stated that the Saudi-backed Takfiri groups were bent on sowing the seeds of sectarian discord in the entire region.

Iran to complete Bavar-373 missile system by 2016

Iran is geared up to complete a domestically developed missile system, which is more advanced than the Russian-made S-300 system, by March 2016, a senior Iranian commander says.

The infrastructure for manufacturing the Bavar-373 missile defense system is prepared and the “bottlenecks” in the project have been removed, said commander of Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base Brigadier General Farzad Esmaili.

Press TV back on Galaxy 19, starts on Intelsat 20

The satellite provider Galaxy 19 (97W) has resumed broadcasting the Iranian English-language news channel, Press TV, at the same time as Intelsat 20 (68.5E) started airing the Iranian 24-hour channel.

Press TV is now available on Galaxy 19 on the frequency 11960 Hz, symbol rate 22000, vertical polarization and modulation 3/4, and on Intelsat 20 on the frequency 12602 Hz, symbol rate 26657, horizontal polarization and modulation 2/3.

Iran should help resolve crisis in Syria: UN

A top United Nations official says Iran must help resolve the crisis in Syria, stressing that Tehran plays a pivotal and undeniable role in peace talks about the Middle Eastern country.

The UN and international community require constructive talks to settle the crisis in Syria, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations Jan Eliasson told IRNA on Saturday.

He added that the UN is well aware of Iran’s important and sensitive role in settling the Syrian crisis and other crises across the world.

As the Central African Republic descends into a charnel house of mass killing, hunger and fleeing refugees, one country bears full responsibility for the catastrophe - France.

Armed forces chief of staff General Hassan Firouzabadi warned the Islamic republic's arch-foes that Iran is prepared for a "decisive battle" if attacked.

Iranian General Warns Ready for Decisive Battle with US, ’Israel’

no ordinary day for the southern
town of Tair Dibba. On that day the
town’s Fayez Moghnieh family
received a new born they named
Imad Moghnieh, the first and eldest
of his brothers. Relative to his peers,
Imad’s childhood flew rapidly, and
he died martyr before old age set in.
He was assassinated at the age of
45, on the 12th of February, 2008.
His martyrdom became a beacon to
the resistance fighters, just as his
life, biography and deeds were.

Nigerian Security Killed Albani- S. Zakzaky

The leader of the islamic movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky in his weekly lecture on Nahjul Balagah, Monday, categorically revealed that Nigerian security operatives killed Muhammad Awwal Albani Zaria to actualize a selfish agenda. According to him, followers of Albani are all aware of the killers but could not speak out for fear. “Without any fear from anyone, we say the government killed Albani Zaria”.

Iranians Mark 1979 Revolution Victory

Life in Bangui has become nightmare for Muslims

ABNA The Central African Republic (CAR) has become one of the most dangerous countries in the world for Muslims, who are increasingly being attacked by both local Christian mobs and militiamen. "Living in Bangui has become a nightmare," Mahamat Sallah, a businessman and one of the few Muslims still living in the capital Bangui, told Anadolu Agency. "I live in constant fear as I drive to work and back because I don’t know when the mobs will strike," he added.

Plan to Attack Sheikh Zakzaky’s Convoy Exposed

Following the assassination of one Albani in Zaria on 01/02/204, perpetrators of this heinous act were never without a further secret motive. A week after the episode, there was heavy security presence at Gyellesu, residence of Sheikh Zakzaky, Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria. All entrances leading to the area where blocked, unwarranted search of people were conducted. When asked for the sudden siege, under anonymity, one of the security officer stationed said, they were just given orders without clear focus or mission.

Youth Forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria organised a Seminar for the Youths at Tiga, Kano

The seminar started on Friday 31st January 2014 in the night and was closed on Sunday 2nd Febuary 2014 at Tiga Local Government Area of Kano state in Nigeria. During the seminar different scholars were invited to deliver a speech on different topics that are related to the youth, among the invited scholars are Malam Qasim Umar from Sokoto and Malama Zahra L Yaqoub from Kano.

Zaria Maulud (Khatama) 2014/1435(H)

Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) has addressed Maulud   Khatmah at the Zaria City Juma’at Mosque on Sunday, 2nd Rabi’ul Thani 1345 AH ( 2/2/2014), which officially signifies the close of Maulud celebration programmes for the year.

On Saturday 1st Febuary,2014. Members of the Islamic movement in Nigeria organized a maulud at Kano, the maulud began around 9:00pm at the premises of the emir’s palace Jumma’at Mosque. The program was well attended. Among the personalities that appears at the event include, Sheikh Khidir, Sharif Hamza, Malam Auwal Shamsuddeen,  Malam Qasim Umar, Mr Eziekel Isyaku from ECWA Church Badawa and lots more.

Unity Week Ended With Sheikh Misbah speach on: Role of Sufi Orders in Unity of the Ummah

Durinng the closing programme of Unity Week in Kano, Sheikh Misbah Yusuf of the Qadiriyyah Order  spoke on the role of the adherents of Sufi orders towards unity of the Ummah.

The Sheikh said differences in understanding should not be the sources of disputes and disunity while highlihting on the wisdoms behind it.
