AFIMN Kano chapter held Lectures on the 3rd Day of The Imam's week Activities:

In continuation of this year's activities on Imam's week Kano chapter hosted three guest speakers who gave lectures on aspects of the revolution of Imam Khomeini (QS) after iftar and prayers on Saturday 3rd June, 2017 at Kano Husainiyya Kofar Waika, Kano. Sheikh Sunusi Abdulqadir Kano dwelt on the 'Fikra' of the Imam which he said was unique. He lamented that Imsm has built bridges not only within Shiah population but also globally between Shiah and Sunnah and between Muslims and non Muslims. The speaker urged members of the Islamic Movement to renew their commitment to the course of Allamah Zakzaky which is the same course as that of Imam Khomeini. Dr Maimuna Husain of Bayero university was the second speaker who looked at the contribution of sisters in the revolution of Imam. She pointed out the fact that Imam took along and empowered the sisters in the course of the struggle without discrimination. She enjoined sisters of the Islamic Movemrnt to emulate the disciples of Imam Khomeini. The third speaker, Engr Dr Bala Abdullahi from KUST Wudil, looked at the contribution of intellectuals, more especially from the Universities, in the struggle of Imam. He proposed useful pieces of advice and course of action to be taken by our intellectuals and Students alike so as to advance the course of the islamic Movement in Nigeria. Earlier on Thursday 1st June, 2017 members held visitation to patients in Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital Kano were patient were given gift and offered prayers for speedy recovery marking the Annual Imam’s week. More so a prayer session was carried out on Friday 2nd June 2017 at Kano Husainiyya. The annual Imam’s week that is marked in different Nigerian cities by AFIM will holds its closing day program today in Abuja and in the last two years the program will be closed without the closing lecture of the leader of the Islamic movement in Nigeria His Eminence Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) on Imam khomeni (QS) and the revolution he had lead. Shaikh Zakzaky (H) has been detained illegally since December 14th, 2015 despite a Federal High court order that has ruled for his release and his wife Malama Zeenatuddeen Ibraheem that have all being ill needing specialist doctor’s consultation but denied.
